$XAU With Russian‑produced gold under sanctions, Australia, as a major Western‑aligned gold producer, was expected to fill part of the physical supply gap. However, constrained by limited mine‑output upside and a lack of large domestic LBMA‑accredited refineries, it cannot fully replace Russia’s supply volume. Russian gold has been rerouted through third‑party jurisdictions rather than disappearing from the global market entirely.
