Why did I give up all altcoins and only bet on $OKB?
After staying in the crypto world for a long time, you'll understand one thing: the vast majority of altcoins are illusions. New investors always fantasize a hundredfold or thousandfold, but the reality is, the old chives have even their underwear cut off.
The reason I am optimistic about $OKB is simple
First, it has the elasticity of altcoins to surge. Market sentiment has shifted; $OKB's gains have never lagged behind mainstream altcoins, yet their liquidity and depth are much more reliable than most air coins.
Second, it has certainty similar to Bitcoin, breaking previous highs in every bull market. It also backs the OKX ecosystem, with a total supply permanently locked at 21 million tokens, continuously deflationary as X Layer Gas. This is not a meme, but a platform token with real value.
The only true faith is Bitcoin. $OKB I hold on to it too—not because of faith, but because its potential hasn't been fully realized. Its current market cap is only $1.8 billion, $BNB nearly $80 billion—a 40-fold difference. (Huge prospects)
A word of advice for new investors: crypto markets don't peak when they rise, and no bottom when they fall. If you come here to play, never have faith—make a quick profit and then leave. Protect your principal first—this is your chip for a comeback.
Except for $BTC and $OKB, don't get emotional about any coin. Make a quick profit and leave—don't be greedy, don't have a big picture, don't listen to stories. This market is ruthless—you watch their gains, they focus on your principal.
For the long-term position, I only put $BTC and $OKB. The rest, fast in and out, never get stuck in battle. This isn't conservatism, it's a lesson learned through blood and tears.

Is the market currently a bull or bear market? Opinions are all over the place, with everyone expressing their own views, and no one convincing the other.
The bearish side's core logic is the Federal Reserve's policy. Inflation is recurring, interest rate hike expectations hang overhead, liquidity tightens, and funds are reluctant to enter, so they believe this is a bear market.
The bullish side focuses more on the long term, emphasizing the halving cycle, on-chain funds, and the industry's long-term narrative, firmly believing the big bull market is still on its way.
Both sides have their own reasoning; each argument has its merits.
I’m not fixated on labeling the market as bull or bear right now.
My approach is simple: every time there’s a sharp drop, I gradually buy the dip in batches.
I don’t go all in at once, but build my position bit by bit. This way, when the market rises, I won’t miss out completely, and if it continues to fall, I still have reserves to keep buying at lower prices.
For beginners seeking stability, prioritize $BTC $ETH $OKB as long-term holds, like keeping money in a bank. I believe they will eventually break previous highs.
I won’t argue about bull or bear markets now; just follow your own pace with a spot batch strategy.
As for contracts, given the current unclear direction, I only dare to play with small funds.
I want to ask everyone: in the current market, are you mainly positioning in spot, or still doing contract swing trades?
⚠️ The above is just my personal trading approach and does not constitute investment advice. The crypto market is highly volatile; please be cautious and bear your own profits and losses.

Tonight and tomorrow night, the market is set to face a series of major data releases from the US for September: CPI, PPI, retail sales, and initial jobless claims. These represent the biggest variables for the near future.
The pressure from this data is significant. September international oil prices remain high, and the energy component will likely push inflation upward. The market expects the overall CPI year-over-year to rise. Cleveland Fed's Harker has also stated that inflationary pressures are broad-based and has not ruled out the possibility of further rate hikes. The hawkish stance of officials contrasts sharply with the market's expectation of a pause in rate hikes. If inflation data exceeds expectations, it will directly impact US Treasuries, the US dollar, $BTC, and the entire crypto market.
Looking globally, US stocks, Korean stocks, and the storage sector are weakening, and risk appetite continues to cool. Multiple negative factors are stacking up, causing short-term market volatility to intensify, with more frequent spikes and dips, further amplifying the risks of contract trading.
After the rollercoaster market in recent days, I will be more cautious now. I still stick to the assets I am familiar with: holding $OKB spot in batches, and only testing with very small positions in contracts, never heavily betting on data.
Data-driven markets often see both longs and shorts getting hit. I won’t guess the direction; I will wait for the data to land and see where the funds flow. I remind everyone not to heavily bet on CPI and prioritize preserving capital.
How do you plan to respond to this CPI data? Will you take a light position and observe, or make small bets?

Today, the big coin $BTC staged a deep V reversal, dipping to a low of 80961 during the session. After a brief plunge, funds quickly pulled back, and it has now firmly stood at 84016.
The 4-hour candlestick shows a long lower shadow. This sharp drop was a panic sell-off, but the support at the low was strong, quickly recovering most of the losses. Such a violent spike is a huge test for contract traders; a slight mistake can easily trigger stop-losses or liquidations.
In this kind of repeated volatile market, altcoins will fluctuate even more wildly. I saw a guru in the group successfully riding waves with high-volatility coins like $STRK, which is impressive, but in this market, high leverage risks are infinitely amplified, making it really hard for ordinary people to withstand the spikes.
I still stick to my own approach: mainly spot trading, holding $OKB well, and only using very small positions in contracts without reckless heavy positions.
In a choppy market, protecting your own circle of competence is most important. Did anyone get liquidated during this deep V move?

If it drops, just buy some spot in batches. It's really hard to tell whether it's a bull or bear market right now.
$BTC spot ETFs are all seeing net outflows. Market maker funds are also running.
I don't understand what's going on, not sure what the dog whales are trying to show.
Anyway, when others panic, just buy a little spot in batches. In the long run, it seems unlikely to fall into a big pit.
In this market, I only dare to do short-term swings with contracts, not hold long.
On the spot side, I added some $OKB $UNI $LINK $HYPE $ICP.
Personally, I prefer tech coins and don't like meme coins much, so I just bought these few coins I like. After buying, I just hold them, treating it like putting money in the bank.
Are you guys watching now, or already buying spot in batches at low prices? Or are you going long or short contracts?
⚠️ The above is just my personal trading experience and insights, not investment advice, profits and losses are your own responsibility.
