One Ethereum Layer-2 is shutting down. Blast announced that its network will be sunset, with standard-interface withdrawals ending October 26. This is bigger than one project disappearing. L2 competition is getting real: networks need users, liquidity and sustainable activity — not just TVL and incentives. The next phase may be about survival, not launches.
