Bitcoin Is Resting. Capital May Be Moving. The interesting part of today's market is not another Bitcoin breakout. It is what happens while $BTC pauses. Bitcoin is around $79.7K and down roughly 1.8% over 24 hours, while parts of the altcoin market are showing stronger short-term momentum. $BNB, for example, gained about 3.45% over an eight-hour period, while $ADA rose roughly 3.1% over 24 hours. The broader altcoin market also outperformed Bitcoin during that window. That is the signal I am watching. Bitcoin does not always need to fall for capital to rotate. Sometimes the rotation starts when Bitcoin simply stops moving aggressively. My radar is watching $ETH first. If Ethereum starts outperforming $BTC while Bitcoin holds its range, that would be a much stronger rotation signal than isolated pumps in smaller altcoins. Then I want to see $SOL, $XRP and $BNB maintain relative strength. After that, $ADA, $SUI, $APT and $AVAX need to participate. The key word is breadth. One or two altcoins moving 3–7% does not create an altseason. But if multiple sectors begin outperforming Bitcoin at the same time, the market structure starts changing. DeFi would be another confirmation layer. I would watch $AAVE, $UNI, $CRV and $PENDLE for sustained strength. For infrastructure and RWA, $LINK and $ONDO remain on my radar. And if risk appetite expands further, $TAO, $RENDER and $FET could tell us whether capital is returning to higher-beta narratives. There is still a major limitation. Bitcoin dominance has not collapsed, and the broader market has not yet produced enough evidence to call this a full altseason. The CMC Altcoin Season Index measures the performance of the top 100 altcoins against Bitcoin over 90 days, so short-term rallies alone are not enough to change the classification. That is why I am not calling an altseason yet. I am watching for the transition. $BTC consolidates. $ETH starts outperforming. Large caps follow.
