Bitcoin Dominance Is Starting to Crack The more interesting Bitcoin chart right now may not be $BTC itself. It is BTC dominance. Bitcoin dominance has been rejected around the important 60% area, while the broader crypto market is starting to show stronger participation. One recent market screen showed 76% of the top 100 assets trading positive, while the total crypto market cap was up about 2% from Friday. But this is not altseason yet. CoinGecko currently puts Bitcoin dominance around 57.8%, with the total crypto market near $2.77T. That distinction matters. A falling BTC dominance means altcoins are gaining market share relative to Bitcoin. But for a genuine rotation, we need more than a few large green candles. We need breadth. And that is where the market is becoming interesting. $ETH — ETH/BTC is around 0.0313, showing that Ethereum has regained some relative strength against Bitcoin. $SOL $BNB $XRP — Large-cap alts need to sustain their relative strength. $UNI — One of the clearest examples of how quickly DeFi can outperform when capital rotates. $SUI $APT $AVAX $SEI — L1s are where broader risk appetite could become visible. $AAVE $CRV $PENDLE — DeFi needs sustained volume and liquidity, not just token momentum. $LINK $ONDO — Infrastructure and RWA remain positioned for institutional capital. $TAO $RENDER $FET — Higher-beta sectors could accelerate if risk appetite keeps expanding. $ARB $OP — L2s remain important confirmation signals for Ethereum ecosystem breadth. The key level I am watching is not simply whether BTC dominance falls another percentage point. It is whether it can stay below the 60% rejection zone while altcoin breadth continues improving. If that happens, the market structure starts looking very different. Bitcoin can continue rising while capital simultaneously moves into higher-beta assets.
