from here, Washington's extra 50% duty on selected Canadian imports should put little pressure on $BTC by itself. the duty covers nearly $20b, just 5.2% of U.S. goods imports from Canada, which limits how far it can weaken growth, lift inflation and rates, or cut risk appetite. starting September 8, Canada plans dollar-for-dollar retaliation, if Canada follows through and both governments add more tariffs, real yields or the dollar can rise, and traders can cut leverage and push $BTC lower.
