About AnthropicIPOOnNasdaq
Anthropic is targeting an October IPO on Nasdaq, with filings expected by end of September and roadshows mid-October. Up to $100B at around $2T valuation is under discussion. CEO Dario Amodei called for slowing frontier AI development to let safety governance catch up. Altman and Musk expressed support; Trump opposed slowing R&D on safety grounds. Nvidia is in talks to anchor at up to $10B, per Reuters. Will safety governance become Anthropic's moat, or delay product iteration and revenue?

Imagine being able to buy shares in one of the companies building the AI models everyone is talking about.
That’s what makes the idea of an Anthropic Nasdaq IPO interesting to me.
We’ve already seen the AI boom create huge value for chipmakers, cloud providers and data-center companies. But Anthropic would represent something different direct exposure to a company actually building the AI models themselves.
Personally, I’d be curious to see how public markets would value a business like this. Would investors focus on revenue growth? Claude adoption? Enterprise customers? Computing costs? Or would the AI narrative itself be enough to support a huge valuation?
And there’s another side I’d watch closely: AI models are incredibly expensive to build and operate. Fast growth sounds great, but eventually public market investors will want to know what the path to sustainable profitability looks like.
If Anthropic eventually reaches Nasdaq, I think the IPO would be more than just another tech listing.

$2T isn't capital rotating from OpenAI or SpaceX. It's comparables math
Palantir trades near 53x revenue, Cloudflare/SpaceX near 41x. A 10x multiple on Anthropic's 2028 target alone clears $2T.
That means $1.2T in revenue within a decade, 18x today's run rate. Wall Street's valuation people are split on whether that's real.
Not a rotation debate. A growth-curve debate.
BREAKING: Anthropic just picked the Nasdaq for its IPO, and it could be valued at $2 trillion.
That's bigger than SpaceX's $1.75 trillion listing, Nasdaq's biggest win this year until now.
The timing is notable.
This comes right after a former $ANTHROPIC employee's viral warning about extinction risk from $AI , and while OpenAI's Sam Altman has said he wouldn't take his company public right now given that same controversy.

When the creator themselves asks for their creation to be slowed down... 🤯 The CEO of Anthropic (maker of the Claude AI) has just called for AI development to be slowed down for the sake of global safety. What do you think—is this a genuine warning or just a business strategy? Spot traders should keep an eye on $BTC and $ETH for broader market reactions

🚨 TOMORROW COULD BE A BRUTAL DAY FOR AI STOCKS.
Every major AI stock crash so far has been caused by China. This time, the threat is coming from inside the industry itself.
In the past, whenever China released a cheaper AI model, AI stocks crashed hard.
That was investors questioning whether US companies were overspending on chips they didn't need.
This is different, and worse.
The heads of OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI are all now saying AI development itself needs to slow down. The people building the technology are the ones calling for the slowdown.
Anthropic's CEO Dario Amodei says AI is now improving itself faster than anyone can safely control, and companies need to deliberately slow down. Sam Altman agreed and committed OpenAI to the same plan.
OpenAI's own chief scientist admitted that no lab has solved AI safety well enough to keep scaling at full speed.
How all this could cause a crash tomorrow:
The five biggest tech companies are pouring roughly $700 billion into AI infrastructure this year alone, all on the bet that AI capabilities keep accelerating fast enough to justify that spending.
If the people running these labs are now deliberately slowing that pace down, the payoff gets pushed years further out, while the spending doesn't stop.
Regulators are moving in at the same time.
Lawmakers are pushing mandatory safety audits and reporting requirements for the biggest AI labs. Multiple researchers who quit OpenAI and Anthropic in recent weeks are publicly warning that AI is genuinely dangerous without far more caution than these companies are currently applying.
This is three separate threats hitting the same trade in the same week: the builders calling for a slowdown, regulators closing in, and spending that keeps climbing regardless.
A trade that has only gone up for three to four years straight is now facing a threat that is coming from these companies itself.
