Retail investors and whales are going head-to-head, I'm watching the 80,000 mark closely
Today I checked the long-short ratio on OKX and saw a pretty interesting picture.
On the retail side, the $BTC long-short ratio is 1.64, with a bunch of people adding longs on the rebound, showing strong bottom-fishing sentiment; on the whale side, it's only 0.67, with sentiment extremely bearish. One is 1.64, the other 0.67, two groups completely opposing each other at the same level.
I usually pay extra attention to this kind of divergence. In futures contracts, long and short positions are always balanced; when retail investors cluster heavily on one side, it's often small orders padding the numbers, while large orders are accumulating on the opposite side. Retail investors desperately add longs, whales quietly lean short—it's not hard to guess who is supporting whom in the end.
Looking at the chart, the 80,000 level has already been breached once; BTC dropped as low as 79,800, breaking below for the first time in early October, then rallied 3% back to 82,000, with $ETH following back to 2,450. It looks like the level held, but the defense line was kicked once, which is very different from never being touched.
There’s still something hanging below. If 78,166 breaks, mainstream exchange long liquidations will pile up to 1.7 billion USD, triggering a chain reaction.
This time, I side with the whales. Whether 80,000 can hold is the answer; if it holds, I was wrong, if it breaks, the pile of buy orders below will continue to support.

#ETF与巨鲸资金分化,BTC能否守住8万美元? ETFs are withdrawing, whales are buying, but the support below 80,000 is weakening
The US spot $BTC ETF saw a net outflow of $262 million in a single day, wiping out the inflow from the previous day. The $ETH ETF lost $130 million on the same day, and $SOL has been down for 8 consecutive days.
CryptoQuant shows the opposite: BTC whale total holdings have risen to 3.03 million coins, the highest since November 2025, with the 30-day accumulation rate the highest since February this year.
But Glassnode analyzed Binance's order book and found that the large buy orders around 80,000 have been absorbed, with new buy orders concentrated near 78,000.
Although the price has returned above 82,000, the support below 80,000 is thinner than before; breaking below would create a vacuum.
Whales are buying, ETFs are withdrawing, and support below 80,000 is thinning.
The real focus is whether the buy orders at 78,000 can hold if 80,000 is broken.
#ETF与巨鲸资金分化,BTC能否守住8万美元? Actually, the idea that "A-shares don't pay dividends" is an illusion: overall, A-shares do pay a considerable amount of dividends (in 2024, the total cash dividends across the market are about ¥2.4 trillion, a record high). But the problem is that dividends are highly concentrated + many companies do not pay dividends for a long time, so retail investors feel like "they've held the shares for a long time but haven't received any money." The core reasons can be broken down into several layers: 1. Many companies "can't afford to pay" - long-term losses, negative profits - revenue on the books but undistributed profits are negative (due to past heavy losses not yet recovered) - high liabilities, tight cash flow, keeping money to survive These companies don't want to avoid paying dividends; they simply can't pay. 2. Growth-stage companies "unwilling to pay" A large portion of A-shares are growth-stage enterprises in manufacturing, technology, new energy, pharmaceuticals, etc.: - need to expand production - need to invest in R&D - need to repay debt/restore cash flow - industry volatility is high, so they keep cash to weather downturns For them, reinvesting profits is more aligned with shareholders' long-term interests than paying dividends. Therefore, mature industries like banking, coal, telecommunications, power, and liquor tend to pay dividends; small caps, concept stocks, and sci-tech innovation stocks generally do not. 3. Historically, "focus on financing, less on returns" Early A-shares were positioned mainly for financing: - listing shell was valuable - major shareholders profited through share reduction, pledges, and private placements - dividends were not a performance metric - regulators mainly "encouraged dividends" rather than "mandated dividends" So many controlling shareholders' logic was: take the company public → drive up valuation → reduce holdings to cash out, rather than "pay dividends to shareholders annually." 4. Netflix's story is shifting from "how many members remain" to "how much can be earned from each user."
Q2 revenue was $12.56 billion, up 13.4% year-over-year, with decent profits, but the market clearly isn't buying it—because growth is slowing down, with Q3 guidance only at 11.7%. The golden era of subscription growth is basically over.
But don't just focus on the "slowdown."
The advertising business is the new storyline: ad revenue is expected to exceed $1.5 billion in 2025, with a target of about $3 billion in 2026, doubling directly; the monthly active audience for ads has already surpassed 250 million, with live sports, pause ads, programmatic placements, and proprietary ad tech stacks all being rolled out.
In short:
Netflix is no longer just a "membership-selling company," but is becoming a composite of "memberships + ads + live entertainment."
The old engine is slowing down, and the new engine isn't fully connected yet, so the stock price hurts first;
but advertising is already the thing that most resembles the second curve.🚨 $BTC In the long-term trend, there is a pattern worth paying attention to.
Over the past decade, Bitcoin has repeatedly operated along a long-term logarithmic growth channel, experiencing bottom accumulation, trend expansion, new highs, and then deep corrections.
📈 Several important historical highs:
• 2013: $1,242
• 2017: $19,700
• 2021: $69,000
• 2025: $126,000
At the same time, the largest historical drawdown has shown a trend of gradual narrowing.
This may indicate that the market is maturing: the magnitude of crashes is gradually decreasing, but the gains in each bull market cycle may also decline accordingly.
If the long-term growth channel continues to hold, the next cycle target projected in the original analysis is around $350,000 near 2029.
Of course, historical patterns do not guarantee the future, and the channel may fail.
What is truly worth studying is whether Bitcoin's long-term cycle is undergoing a change.📊 #特斯拉交付超预期后盈利修复成焦点 There is no possibility of exceeding expectations; only low-awareness funds would think this is risk-free arbitrage.#NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins

Paid subs now >325M globally. Growth slowed from +41M in 2024, but Netflix still sees low penetration vs addressable market. Growth driver now is higher ARPU through price hikes and paid sharing, not just adding users. The data completely exceeded expectations, and the market did not follow the script, which was indeed quite surprising. According to traditional logic, this should have pushed up rate hike expectations and suppressed risk assets.
This time, the opposite happened: US Treasury yields plunged more than 13 basis points, gold rebounded 1.5%, and Bitcoin fluctuated repeatedly around the eighty-thousand mark. Many think this is a reversal, but I see it more as an oversold buying opportunity!
Inflation panic has turned into growth panic, with funds flowing into Treasuries for safety. Some might think that funds flowing into Treasuries are bullish for crypto, but this is especially easy to confuse! There are two different capital flows for Treasuries! Institutional buying of Treasuries ≠ buying stablecoins, and stablecoins buying Treasuries ≠ crypto buying. These two channels flow in opposite directions and have completely different effects.
Institutions sell stocks and risk assets → buy Treasuries → funds enter Treasury or counterparty accounts → this money has nothing to do with crypto; it is purely a safe-haven move. Funds are withdrawn from risk assets into risk-free assets, and this process drains liquidity from crypto rather than injecting it!
#美国CPI与PPI双超预期,年内能否再加息? $BTC $ETH Reader question: Are there any simple and practical tips for phased top-selling?
Yearly reply: No need for complicated indicators, just remember these few points:
1. Good news keeps coming, but the price no longer hits new highs, start reducing positions in batches;
2. Price hits new highs, but trading volume keeps shrinking, indicating that the chasing funds are exhausted;
3. Set profit-taking levels in advance, don’t gamble on selling at the absolute peak;
4. When macro warnings sound and individual stocks in the market weaken in advance, reduce your position.
The essence of top-selling is not to catch the peak, but to hold onto the profits already made. $BTC $ETH $OKB Inflation hasn't cooled down; instead, it's gotten hotter.
The US September PPI year-on-year surged to 6.3%, the highest since December 2022, far exceeding the market expectation of 5.3%, and last month's data was revised up to 5.6%. Wholesale prices are moving upward again.
PPI is an upstream price indicator, and sooner or later it will transmit to the consumer side. So this is not just "past data," but more like an early warning for the next CPI report. The market will find it hard to treat this as isolated noise.
This is completely different from what many expect—"inflation cooling down and the Fed easing accordingly." Washington was already pushing to reduce forward guidance and downplay the dot plot, and now with an unexpectedly high PPI, it's basically telling the market: don't rush to calculate the Fed's rate cut timing.
Interestingly, last night US stocks first fell then rallied, and BTC still held around 82,000. It seems risk assets are not buying this number, or perhaps they've become somewhat numb. Once rate cut expectations are delayed, the first to react should be US Treasury yields.
My view is that one PPI report won't reverse the trend, but it will gradually erode the expectation that "rate cuts are coming soon." The longer the expectation is delayed, the more painful it is for highly valued assets. This is not a reason for an immediate crash, but it will slowly remove the optimism supporting risk assets.
So I want to ask you: do you think this PPI is just noise, or a prelude to a second wave of inflation? If rate cuts are really delayed until next year, how would you adjust your portfolio? Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a net outflow of $261 million in a single day,
and over the past two weeks, $BTC Bitcoin and $ETH Ethereum ETFs have collectively dumped $1.56 billion.
The most notable aspect of this outflow is the portfolio adjustments by institutional seats. Fidelity's FBTC was redeemed by $153 million in just one day, and even BlackRock's IBIT, which has always acted as a liquidity black hole, experienced net outflows. Conversely, Bitwise's BITB managed to absorb a small inflow of $2.21 million against this freezing market trend. This pattern of top-tier emitters being collectively drained, with mid-sized tools patched sporadically by buyers, indicates that traditional arbitrage funds and macro hedge funds are undergoing a very specific position liquidation.
Many watching the market attribute the cause to inflation data exceeding expectations and repeated interest rate hike expectations, but if you break down the asset allocation logic of these traditional asset managers, macro indicators are merely surface triggers for risk control.
A large portion of the underlying buyers of Ethereum and Bitcoin spot ETFs treat this channel as a high Beta liquidity bridge tool. #特斯拉交付超预期后盈利修复成焦点 #台积电Q3净利润超预期,盈利创历史新高 TSMC's Q3 net profit surged 68.7% to a new quarterly high, but the impressive earnings report requires a nuanced perspective.
Positive factors: AI chip demand continues to explode, advanced process revenue share reached 79%, 2nm mass production contributed to revenue, and high-margin advanced processes drove profit growth significantly outpacing revenue.
Risks: Performance is highly tied to major AI clients, with demand concentration being relatively high; ongoing capital expenditure increases due to the Arizona plant construction in the U.S., and geopolitical factors bring long-term uncertainty. Meanwhile, TSM stock in the U.S. market has a trading logic of profit realization after positive news, so the stock price may not necessarily rise in sync with earnings in the short term. In the long run, the ramp-up of advanced process capacity and sustained customer demand are the core determinants of future valuation.Inflation hits, leverage bloodbath, tech stocks party—did you hold on to today's market?
Yesterday's market can't be summed up with just "volatility."
CPI just exceeded expectations, and PPI followed with an even bigger shock—year-on-year soaring to 6.3%, the highest since December 2022. The month-on-month increase of 1.3% is more than double the expected 0.6%, and core PPI didn't slack off either, jumping from 4.7% to 5.0% year-on-year. Gasoline rose 20.3% in a month, diesel up 21%, energy prices are like pressure in the veins, pushing from the oil fields all the way to the checkout counter.
Honestly, I was a bit stunned when the data came out. The market was even more stunned—the probability of a rate hike before year-end shot up to around 90%, and the implied probability of a rate hike in October jumped from less than 18% a week ago to about 34%. The pricing on CME FedWatch flipped overnight.
The "fake rebound" of BTC
$BTC dropped to $79,694 last night, just shy of 80,000, then was forcibly pulled back above 82,000. Looks fierce, right? But I advise you to stay calm.
In the past 24 hours, the whole network liquidated $929 million, with longs accounting for $777 million. This is not a "healthy wash," it's a small meat grinder. Glassnode also issued a warning: although the price has recovered, liquidity support below 80,000 is clearly thinning, with buy orders mostly hanging around 78,000, which is passive defense, not active offense.
In plain terms: this rebound relies on short covering and low-level catching, not genuine bullish buying.
On the chart, BTC is tugging between 81,000 and 82,400, $ETH is weaker, moving in a 2,360–2,440 range like a frog in warm water, and $SOL is stuck around 103, neither up nor down. The total market cap dropped about 3%, but volume increased by 35%—what does this mean? Bulls and bears are fiercely fighting, and no one is giving in.
The Fear & Greed Index retreated from greed a few days ago to neutral, just over 50. From a sentiment perspective, this position is healthier than the "greedy" days, but no one should fool themselves into thinking this is a bottom signal.
A noteworthy signal: funds are quietly moving
There’s an interesting on-chain data point today—a certain whale/institution address sold a total of 1,601 $BTC over 5 days, exchanged for 132 million USDC, then bought 53,095 $ETH at an average price of $2,497.
Honestly, this move tempts me. Although $ETH is being suppressed hard now, big money continuously moving into $ETH at this level shows someone has their own judgment on $ETH’s odds. But don’t rush to follow; ETF data still shows net outflows for $ETH, and institutions overall lean more toward $BTC.
$BTC ETFs have net inflows of $2.09 billion in the past 30 days, while $ETH has net outflows of $319 million, and $SOL net outflows of $33.2 million. Funds are selective, not fully retreating.
Tech stocks are a completely different world
TSMC’s Q3 net profit hit 763 billion New Taiwan Dollars, a year-on-year surge of 68.7%, setting a record high and surpassing market expectations. Demand for AI and semiconductors is as solid as iron.
Netflix is a bit more complicated. Q3 revenue guidance is up 12%, and ad revenue is expected to double this year to about $3 billion. The ad package’s monthly active viewers have exceeded 250 million. But after Q2 earnings, the stock dropped 8%, showing the market is sensitive to "growth slowing."
See, on one side macro inflation is crushing risk assets, on the other tech leaders are raking in huge profits. This is the market’s split feeling in 2026—money isn’t lacking, but its courage is shrinking.
What about today?
My feeling is summed up in one word: grind.
Not a crash, but not a reversal either. Leverage has been cleaned out, sentiment cooled, and the market is waiting for the FOMC decision on October 28. Before that, $BTC will likely grind back and forth between 80,000 and 83,000, and $ETH and $SOL need to see ETF funds stop bleeding before they can run independently.
If you’re itching to trade, go ahead, but don’t get carried away. The real winners aren’t those who trade frequently in volatility, but those who hold back when others are anxious.

$ETH spot ETF has fallen for ten consecutive days, finally turning positive on October 13.
Net inflow of $24.84 million, which is not a large amount.
Where did this money come from:
Grayscale Mini contributed $16.73 million, Fidelity contributed $8.1 million.
Together, these two accounted for almost the entire volume that day.
How is this number calculated:
Bitmine holds 6.02 million $ETH, accounting for 4.9% of the entire network.
Just 77,000 $ETH short of 5%, a little more buying will reach the limit.
After reaching the limit, it can no longer buy at the current pace.
That $24.84 million is filled in by others, not new money entering the market.
When buying pressure reaches the top, the price depends on the remaining people to take over.

#$ETH US September PPI rose 1.3% month-over-month, far above the roughly 0.5% expected, with wholesale gasoline prices up 20.3% in a single month. Despite such hot inflation, the probability of a rate hike in October dropped from 33% to 27%.
Why? Retail sales increased by +0.8%, mostly supported by gas stations; excluding gasoline and other items, the "control group" only rose +0.1%, indicating consumption is not that strong; plus, the market worries that AI-driven borrowing will drag down the economy, so funds fled into US Treasuries, causing the 10-year yield to drop about 10 basis points.
Inflation hasn't eased, but the market is starting to fear the economy more. The yield decline is not a signal to increase leverage.

Netflix can sustain revenue growth, but the primary driver is shifting from raw subscriber volume to monetization—specifically periodic price increases, expanded Average Revenue per Member and international market growth as paid-sharing tailwinds normalize.
The ad-supported tier represents a major long-term growth engine, driven by the rollout of Netflix's proprietary ad-tech stack, expanded programmatic capabilities, and increasing ad-tier membership.$BTC experienced a pullback near $80,000, and the market's patience for the next rally has clearly diminished.
The previously repeatedly anticipated scenario was Bitcoin breaking upwards, with altcoins generally following the rise. However, the market did not deliver this smooth trend; the ongoing volatility has instead amplified unease.

The Uniswap protocol itself is indeed strong, consistently topping the charts in trading volume and fees, but what about this token? It feels more like a vase propped up by the protocol's halo—shouting "value capture" for over five years, yet most of the time it's just a voting tool. Token holders watch helplessly as the protocol rakes in profits while their own pockets remain empty.
Let's talk about your "governance token" trick first. In 2020, you airdropped a bunch, claiming the community was in charge. But in reality, large holders, the team, and early investors hold concentrated stakes, with voting power highly centralized. Ordinary people’s voices are negligible. Proposal approval rates look good, but participation is abysmal. You boast decentralization, but it’s more like a show performed by a few big holders and the foundation, with token holders just as background props.
Now, about value capture. The protocol generates billions daily in fees, yet you’ve long treated the "Fee Switch" like a suspense novel. It wasn’t finally turned on until the end of 2025, with a one-time burn of 100 million tokens and a bit of ongoing burning. Sounds exciting, right? But the actual effect? The burn rate is as slow as squeezing toothpaste, with an annual impact possibly only a fraction of a percent, nowhere near enough to support the post-rally fantasies. The price crashed from nearly $45 in 2021 to just over $7 now, a drop of more than 80%. Token holders watch the protocol thrive while enduring the embarrassment of the token lagging behind fundamentals.

- Ad tier user share
- Ad inventory fill rate
- Margin guidance
If guidance is just in line, I expect a muted or negative reaction even with a beat. If the ad numbers surprise, that's where the upside is. #奈飞增长或放缓,广告业务成新看点
On October 20th, Netflix's earnings report revealed that the real focus isn't the $12.86 billion revenue, but rather the advertising, subscriptions, and layoffs behind it—whether it's still worth holding onto.
This earnings report shows the market expects revenue around $12.86 billion, a year-over-year increase of about 12%; operating margin is forecasted at 33.2%, higher than last year's 28.2%. The numbers aren't bad, but the stock price has dropped about 40% this year, indicating the market's concern isn't about "making money," but whether growth can continue at the same pace.
Three key points to watch:
1. Can the advertising business support a second growth curve?
Netflix expects advertising revenue to approach $3 billion by 2026, nearly doubling. However, the ARPU for ad-supported plans remains lower than pure subscription users. The scale of advertising, advertiser demand, and progress in interactive ads will all impact valuation recovery.
2. Does subscription growth still have momentum?
Password sharing crackdowns and price hike benefits are weakening, with user watch time increasing only 2% in the first half of the year. The Q4 guidance is more important than Q3 data: if the full-year guidance of $51 billion to $51.4 billion can be steadily achieved, it will stabilize the situation.
3. Layoffs of 1,000 employees: cost-cutting and efficiency improvement or growth anxiety?
Layoffs are concentrated in product, technology, legal, and HR, about 6% of the workforce. This is a short-term boost to profit margins but also indicates management acknowledges "growth isn't as fast as imagined." To some extent, Papertrade's mechanism of directly converting traders' PnL into protocol capital does have certain merits.
Nearly a week after launch, Papertrade Traders' cumulative PnL has reached -$55 million, with more than half of the losses concentrated on the first day. The most recent full trading day recorded a PnL of -$7.43 million.
The daily proportion of profitable addresses is only about 20-25%, meaning only 1 out of every 4-5 traders is profitable.
The average loss is far greater than the median; most daily average losses exceed $1k, while the daily median loss is just tens of dollars. The loss distribution shows a clear long tail, with a small number of addresses bearing larger losses.
Papertrade now triggers tens of thousands of liquidations daily, but these losses do not simply vanish—they flow into the protocol LP to pay winners, replenish the repayment queue, and mint PAPER for the losers. When the LP exceeds its cap, the surplus is distributed to PAPER stakers Ethereum rebounds to $2438, but bulls are still "paying" to hold positions
ETH pulled back from a low of $2323 to $2438, rising nearly 4% intraday.
What changed? On the surface, it's a rebound, but underneath it's a different story: In the past 24 hours, the entire network saw $292 million in ETH liquidations, with Binance alone accounting for over $157 million, and bulls making up more than 80%. More importantly, the funding rate remains negative—averaging about -0.0010%, with Binance dropping to -0.0013%.
Why is this worth noting? The price is rising, but leveraged bulls are being "charged" the cost of holding their positions. The ETF side is also not optimistic: Ethereum spot ETFs saw a net outflow of about $130 million in a single day, expanding to $190 million for the week.
Which observation is more supported currently? This looks more like a "passive deleveraging after crowded longs" rather than a healthy trend reversal. Account structure still leans bullish, but active buying accounts for only about 42.9%, with Binance active buyers as low as 30%.
Key focus going forward: Whether the liquidation-heavy zone around $2300 will be tested again. If broken, the liquidity vacuum below will be quickly exposed.
A lingering question: When ETFs and leveraged bulls retreat simultaneously, where exactly is the "fuel" for this rebound coming from? $ETH #奈飞增长或放缓,广告业务成新看点 Bitcoin returns to 82,000, but the support below is disappearing

Why is this worth noting? The price is rising below, but the underlying buying support for this rebound is actually thinning. The rebound is mainly driven by short covering and triggered passive buy orders, rather than active chasing funds.
Which observation is more supported currently? This looks more like a technical correction after a macro shock, rather than a trend reversal. Spot ETFs saw a net outflow of about $262 million yesterday, and institutions have not fully returned.
The key focus next: whether the $78,000 defense line can hold — once the support breaks, it will quickly become a vacuum.
A cliffhanger: When retail search interest drops to a multi-year low, where exactly is the "fuel" for this rebound coming from? $BTC SAND Uptrend Analysis
SAND is the token of the metaverse blockchain game The Sandbox, classified as a sector rotation type coin. This round of price increase is driven by the resonance of sector narrative, capital, and contracts.
1. Narrative Catalyst: Metaverse/WEB3 Gaming Sector Rotation
After the market stabilizes, capital flows out from mainstream coins and returns to the long-term oversold metaverse and blockchain gaming sectors.
- The Sandbox is backed by Animoca Brands' parent company, has numerous well-known brand IP collaborations, and operates virtual land (LAND) business. It is a leading target in the metaverse sector, benefiting first from the sector's warming popularity.
- There is no major independent positive news; the movement is more of an oversold rebound logic. Historically, it has fallen significantly from its highs, with chips positioned very low, high elasticity, and capital prefers to bottom-fish oversold old altcoins.
2. Spot Capital Aspect
1. Whales accumulate at low levels, coins flow out from exchanges, and are hoarded off-exchange; the circulating supply is not large, so it does not require massive capital to drive the market.
2. Sector Effect: Metaverse coins like MANA strengthen simultaneously, attracting retail investors to follow the profit-making trend, concentrating spot buy orders.
3. Contract Side (Accelerator of the Uptrend)
1. A large number of short positions accumulated at low levels previously. When the price breaks through key resistance levels upward, it triggers a short squeeze, forcing shorts to stop loss and buy to close, further pushing up the price.
2. After the rise, the funding rate turns positive, attracting many chasing long positions, and incremental contract capital boosts the price increase;
#闪迪财报前夕,HBF与存储紧缺引发热议 Up 54% in four weeks, leaving Bitcoin and Ethereum behind in the same period—what's driving Sui's surge? Three solid developments: Bitwise has brought its institution-focused RWA vault to Sui, targeting net returns over 10%; Samsung announced Galaxy devices now support USDC and integrate Sui capabilities; on-chain DeFi locked value grew 15.5% in four weeks, peaking at about $1.21 billion. But let's cool down the enthusiasm: locked value dropped 5.2% in the past week, and on-chain activity is cooling off; plus, circulating supply accounts for only 41% of total, with nearly 60% still locked up ahead. Current price is near $1, about 78% below the all-time high of $5.35. Support first looks at the $1 whole number level; if it can't hold above $1.15, the rebound can't be considered strong. The likelihood of another rate hike within the year is very high, especially in December; the probability of a rate hike in October is relatively low (about 25-30%), but the data has clearly raised expectations for rate hikes throughout the year.
CPI (September, released October 14): month-over-month +0.6% (in line with expectations), year-over-year +3.7% (expected about 3.6%); core CPI month-over-month +0.3% (expected 0.2%), year-over-year +2.6% (expected 2.5%). The sharp rise in gasoline prices (month-over-month +9.1%) contributed more than half of the monthly increase, but the core was also relatively strong.
PPI (September, released October 15): month-over-month +1.3% (expected about 0.5-0.6%), year-over-year +6.3% (a new high since December 2022, expected about 5.4%); core (excluding food and energy) month-over-month +0.7% (expected 0.3%), year-over-year about 5%. The sharp rise in energy commodity prices (+10.8%, gasoline +20.3%) is the main reason, but there is pressure on both goods and services sides, indicating signs of inflation spreading.
The data supports another rate hike within the year (most likely in December), with a higher threshold for action in October but not impossible. Going forward, the key factors to watch are energy price trends, employment data, PCE inflation, and officials' final statements before the blackout period. If the energy shock continues to spread, it may force the Fed to be more hawkish; if prices fall quickly, patience may be maintained. Market pricing will dynamically adjust with new data.#奈飞增长或放缓,广告业务成新看点 Personal Viewpoint
Objectively speaking, there is no problem with the advertising business direction, and the growth rate is indeed impressive
Core logic: After subscription peaks, advertising + sports live streaming open a new ceiling
1. Explosive growth in advertising revenue
Advertising revenue in 2025 will grow more than 2.5 times compared to 2024, surpassing $1.5 billion, with 2026 guidance doubling to about $3 billion, and expected to exceed $5 billion in 2027
2. Advertising tier has become the main driver for new user acquisition
The advertising tier (US $8.99/month) accounts for over 60% of all new registered users in Q1 2026, with more than 4,000 advertisers, a year-on-year increase of 70%, rapidly expanding the advertiser base
3. Sports live streaming + advertising ecosystem forms a closed loop
Live events such as the Women's World Cup, NFL, WWE, MLB significantly increase advertising inventory and premium space
Live events drive user watch time growth, which feeds back into higher advertising unit prices
4. Profit margin logic holds
Advertising tier users do not require additional content costs, representing "secondary monetization of existing content," with extremely high marginal profit margins, operating profit in Q4 2025 is expected to grow 30% year-on-year, with advertising business as an important driver#NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins I have summarized the known information and news! Currently, Bitcoin $BTC and Ethereum $ETH are in a consolidation range. Personally, I am more bearish! Because the inflation data is bearish, the Federal Reserve's policy is hawkish, and the decline in the US dollar and US bonds is somewhat positive but cannot be the sole basis for a bullish outlook. The funding situation still needs confirmation, but currently, it is known to be negative. Looking at tonight's data, inflation is relatively hot, consumption is strong, and layoffs remain low. This means the Federal Reserve lacks sufficient reason to quickly shift to easing in the short term. I personally think the direction is still bearish but will have a recovery. For Bitcoin support, I personally look towards 80,000! For Ethereum support, I see around 2,550. Resistance for Bitcoin is near 82,000, and for Ethereum around 2,430. We can wait a bit more to see if Wash's speech is hawkish or dovish #DailyOrbit Last night cleared 930 million, but the shift in capital style is very obvious. The money retreating from speculative coins is flowing back to blue chips and spike positions. The deep V-shapes of NEAR, FIL, and SUI all have support, but among these three, I only bought SUI. Why?
$NEAR has the greatest elasticity but is the most fragile. +109% in 30 days, +178% in September alone, but no starting gun can be found. The rise is due to the AI coin label and short covering; it dropped 10.1% last night. Only the Grayscale AI fund has taken it in, but it's private placement, so no short-term buying pressure.
$FIL supply has really been cut: six years of unlocking ended, annual new supply cut to 22 million coins (-75%), mainnet on 10/13 PDP, and Solstice upgrade on 10/19. But market cap is only 900 million, on-chain open interest is just 20 million dollars, supply is a hard constraint, demand is uncertain.
$SUI is the only one I hold. The $1 level has been repeatedly tested; last night the low was 0.9966 but it bounced back. The ecosystem is genuinely spending money, with the foundation investing 30 million in DATA Network.
I didn’t take the other two, not because I look down on them, but because the calculations are unclear. The main theme for the coming week is the "sustainability of the oversold rebound" $RAVE $CP There really are a lot of retail investors in altcoins who are bearish and continue to hold
Key resistance level: $0.1800 Key support level: $0.1500
Long-short ratio: Retail investors are extremely enthusiastic
Binance retail long-short ratio is as high as 4.4083, OKX retail long-short ratio is 3.7 (extremely enthusiastic, retail investors are crazily catching falling knives).
For whales: the number of whales long-short ratio is 5.2775, but the whales' position long-short ratio is only 1.9505.
Project fundamentals and on-chain data: extremely controlled, market makers are flipping positions
RaveDAO was previously exposed by on-chain detective ZachXBT: about 90% of the supply is concentrated in team-related wallets, with the top 10 wallets concentration exceeding 98%.
In April, a classic "bear trap - short squeeze - distribution" operation occurred, with short positions liquidated for $23.99 million.
From on-chain data, **the front-row holdings are all Gnosis Safe Proxy, the largest address holds 72.58% ($12.2 million)**, showing highly concentrated chips.
In the past 7 days of actual balance changes, KuCoin increased by 13.13%, PancakeSwap increased by 3.26%, overall on-chain activity is extremely quiet, and market makers are frequently flipping between PancakeSwap and Aerodrome.
$BTC #美国CPI与PPI双超预期,年内能否再加息? 📊 $BTC current price is $82,309, I'm marking WAIT here, no adding positions for now. Holding the long position opened at $83,030, currently just watching. There's a descending trendline pressing from above, now at $83,449, dropping daily; until it breaks through, it's a cap. A) If the $81,953 support holds, the market has a chance to move towards the $82,883-83,320 resistance and dense trading zone; breaking below $81,953 invalidates this. B) If $81,953 breaks, it turns directly into resistance, likely to sweep liquidity downward in the short term, targeting the $79,760-81,033 zone; if it continues to break, there's a distant $65,536 level; standing above $81,953 invalidates this. The $83,515 level has been tested 21 times, held 13 times, broken 6 times, and no reaction 2 times, indeed a key level. Open interest dropped 3.8% in the last 24 hours while price rose 1.72%, indicating shorts are closing positions, not new longs entering; such a rebound tends to stop abruptly. If it rebounds near $82,883, I will take partial profits by halving the position and move stop loss up to $83,030 to break even. Do you think this wave is just short covering ending, or can it really break the $83,449 line? #OKXTraderVoices #TSMCQ3RecordProfit #NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins A brief analysis of BTC short-term trends based on Dow Theory, Chan Theory, Elliott Wave Theory, volume-price relationship, order flow, and price action (strategy suggestions)
$BTC #星球日报
Comprehensive assessment
Dow Theory confirms false breakdown failure + key reversal day
Chan Theory bullish fractal arrangement + upward shift of the central pivot, 82,550 third buy trigger point
Elliott Wave Theory wave ② retracement at 53% textbook level, wave ③ target 84,700-85,700, 70% probability of initiation
Volume-price relationship reversal phase + 2.9 billion Delta, the strongest in history, bottom volume consolidation and accumulation
Order flow Delta continuously turns positive + spring sweep + VA recovery
Price action high-level flag pattern awaiting breakout.
Six-dimensional comprehensive resonance: This is the clearest bullish signal since October 6, and this time it is supported by "spring reversal + strongest buy-side Delta in history + textbook wave ②" — fundamentally different from the previous four failed iron curtain tests. $BTC Last night, BTC quickly spiked down to 79,000, then instantly pulled back to 82,000. This long lower wick essentially reflects a leverage liquidation event triggered by poor liquidity late at night.
Let's first discuss the reason for the drop.
In the latter half of the night, the market order book depth thinned out, and a large sell order smashed through the support below, quickly pushing the price down to 79,000.
There were many long stop-loss orders below; once the price broke through, a large number of high-leverage long positions were consecutively liquidated, further driving the price down.
However, the spot sell orders did not continue to flood out here; it was mainly a cascade of contract leverage liquidations.
Why was it able to quickly rebound?
First, the 79,000 level is a spot buy zone where funds had pre-positioned.
Seeing the sharp drop, whales and spot buyers immediately entered to absorb the chips, halting the decline.
Second, once the price quickly rebounded, the newly opened short positions were stopped out. Short covering buying became passive buying pressure, pushing the price rapidly back up to 82,000.
This back-and-forth action is a two-way shakeout, with both long and short leverage being harvested.
Key point! This long lower wick does NOT mean the bottom is established.
This is a typical contract spike, a short-term leverage washout, not a macro reversal signal.
The major trend is still determined by US Treasury yields and Federal Reserve rate cut expectations.
As long as US Treasury yields remain high, this kind of rebound is likely just a volatile correction, not the start of a new bull market.
In summary:
Weak liquidity late at night first smashed the market, triggering long stop-losses below; after the absorption by buyers, shorts were then stopped out.
The chart looks strongly supported, but the consolidation is not over yet.
Do not blindly go all-in on the dip just because of the long lower wick; spike reversals happen quickly and risks remain high.
Going forward, watch two key points: whether spot ETF inflows can continue, and whether US Treasury yields decline. Only when both signals appear simultaneously can we say the market is truly stabilizing. #美国CPI与PPI双超预期,年内能否再加息? Today's Core Judgment There are two pieces of news today that need to be given higher weight. First, OKX updated the OKXICE TSV (Tokenized Securities Venue) disclosure document on October 15. The number of U.S. stock issuers explicitly raising objections has increased from 4 on October 8 to 9, with 5 new additions in one week. This indicates that even though OKXICE has obtained a regulatory pilot channel, it still faces opposition from the listed companies themselves. The project has not been rejected because of this, but the commercial implementation resistance is indeed growing. Second, the U.S. September PPI (Producer Price Index) rose 1.3% month-over-month, marking the largest single-month increase since March 2022. The day before, the CPI (Consumer Price Index) had already exceeded expectations, and upstream price pressures are also increasing. Meanwhile, on October 14, BTC, ETH, and SOL spot ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds) saw synchronized outflows again. My judgment is: OKXICE has shown a medium-level negative signal worth noting, and the macro funding environment continues to deteriorate. However, this is not enough to overturn the development direction of OKXICE. The institutional business judgment for X Layer remains unchanged for now, and there is still no new value capture for OKB. 1. OKXICE: The number of issuers opposing tokenization increased from 4 to 9 OKX updated the official OKXICE disclosure document on October 15. Comparing the two versions: * October 8: 4 issuers raised objections, namely CBRS, APP, APLD, and RKLB; * October 15: increased to 9, newInflation data has completely blown past expectations, hitting a four-year high.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, rose.
Is this a false celebration of "all bad news priced in"?
The US September PPI year-over-year is 6.3%, the largest increase since 2022. Month-over-month is 1.3%, while the expectation was only 0.5%. Core PPI year-over-year is 5.0%, expected 4.4%, still blowing past expectations. Energy prices surged 10.8% month-over-month, gasoline up 20.3%, diesel up 21%.
All significantly exceeding expectations.
Normally, with rising rate hike expectations, risk assets should collapse. But what actually happened?
The three major US stock indexes all closed higher, with the Dow up 1.08%. Bitcoin briefly dropped below $80,000 during the session, then rebounded in a V-shape, closing back above $82,300.
Data is in hell, prices are in heaven.
This divergence is the truly dangerous part.
Why did prices rise after bad news?
Because the market had already priced in the bad news.
Within one hour after the PPI release, total liquidations across the network were only about $32.46 million. This number is far lower than the liquidation scale during the Asian session.
This means most people had already exited or were prepared. When the actual data landed, no one panicked.
This is called "all bad news priced in."
But note, this is only the surface story.
The real story lies in the leverage data.
In the past 24 hours, total liquidations in the crypto market reached $929 million.
Among them, long liquidations were $777 million—accounting for 83.6% of total liquidations.
What does this mean?
It means before this rebound, longs had already been cleaned out once. Spot buying demand is severely lacking; prices are pushed up by "short covering," not by "real money buying."
Short covering creates a temporary vacuum, not a trend reversal.
Look at another detail.
Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow of about $681 million last week. Spot buying is withdrawing, leveraged longs are liquidating, yet prices are rising.
Do you call this a "bull market"?
This is a technical recovery after leverage liquidation. The foundation is empty.
Friday, Bangkok.
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh will speak at the IMF annual meeting. This is his last public statement before the October 27-28 FOMC meeting.
The Fed enters a blackout period on Saturday; if the central bank wants to send signals, only Warsh himself can deliver them.
A Bank of America rate strategist bluntly said: investors are "waiting for Warsh to give the green light for further rate hikes."
Current market pricing: 71.8% probability of holding rates steady in October, 28.2% probability of a 25 basis point hike. But the cumulative probability of a rate hike by December has already soared to 92.8%.
Almost certain to hike before year-end.
This is the most painful part.
PPI at 6.3% is not retreating; it is accelerating. Energy prices are rising, tariffs are rising, AI chips are rising, freight costs are rising. Inflation is not "transitory," it is sticky.
And Bitcoin’s $80,000 support relies not on fundamentals but on the vacuum after leverage clearing.
The market is not celebrating cooling inflation. It is celebrating "the worst data has already landed."
But a 6.3% PPI is not the worst data.
It may be the prelude to an even worse round of data.
$BTC $ETH $SOL #NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins Bitcoin fell back to 80,000, but the bulls are still "greedy"
This morning, Bitcoin briefly dropped below $80,000, then quickly pulled back above 82,000.
What changed? In the past 24 hours, the entire network liquidated $929 million, with bulls accounting for $777 million. What's more intriguing is that the funding rate has dropped to -0.0044%, a nine-month low, yet the fear and greed index remains stuck in the "greedy" range of 55-63.
Why is this worth noting? The leveraged market is "paying to bet on a drop," while spot holders refuse to give up their chips. Two groups are seeing completely different markets.
Which observation is currently more supported? This looks more like forced deleveraging in derivatives rather than a systemic bearish outlook. The real signal lies below—if 80,000 holds, conditions for a short squeeze are accumulating.
The key thing to watch next: whether the funding rate can turn positive. This is the watershed between judging if market sentiment is recovering or if the bottoming process will continue.
One last question—Is this round of liquidations a mid-bull market breather, or a new group entering the market? $BTC
