About ASMLQ3ResultsOct14
ASML will report Q3 results on Oct 14 at 02:00 ET, with an earnings call at 10:00 ET. It previously guided for Q3 revenue of €11B-€12B and raised its full-year revenue outlook. As AI chip and advanced-node capacity expansion drives demand for lithography equipment, whether new orders keep growing will be a key signal for future equipment demand.

BREAKING: $ASML beats earnings estimates but warns of falling gross margins next quarter, adding fears to the memory chip bubble 🚨
Revenue $13.06B vs est. $12.95B
EPS $14.50 vs est. $11.87
Gross margins 58% vs. est. 55% FY26
Guidance:
Gross margins 56% vs. est. 54%
ASML is a critical supplier of extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems to major memory and logic manufacturers like Micron Technology $MU and SK Hynix $SKHY

Memory manufacturer SK Hynix $SKHY collapses 10% on the South Korean KOSPI Index.
Micron $MU has fallen 5% today after completing the "return to normal" phase of the bubble.
During the last earnings call, Micron had warned gross margins would be flat next quarter.
Memory manufacturers have always collapsed when gross margins peak and begin rolling over.
The difference this time is this memory bubble is 10x larger than all past memory cycles.

$ASML Q3: Capacity, Not Demand, Sets the 2027-28 Ceiling
$ASML $1,715, -0.1% pre-market.
$ASML delivered €11.7 billion of Q3 sales versus its €11.0 billion-€12.0 billion guide and 57.5% GM, 50bp above the top end. Installed Base Management sales rose 19% q/q to €3.3 billion, while new systems sold rose 31% to 113.
The Q4 sales midpoint of €14.7 billion is 3.6% above the €14.19 billion LSEG consensus. $ASML also raised the FY26 sales floor to €44 billion from €43 billion and set GM near 56%, versus its prior 54%-56% range.
Planned 30% low-NA EUV and DUV immersion capacity additions for 2027, plus another 30% under study for 2028, still fall short of customer demand. $ASML expects price increases to begin in 2027 and reach their full effect in 2028, adding a price/mix lever while physical output remains constrained.
The earnings path now depends on price realization, upgrade revenue and firm-order conversion from customer interest extending into 2029-30. A 2028 capacity plan above the current 30% target would extend the unit-growth runway; order pushouts would break it.

$ASML customers are already trying to secure EUV machines for 2029 and 2030 even as production capacity expands showing just how far demand is running ahead of supply.
And it’s no longer just advanced processors driving that demand because memory now accounts for ~51% of system sales as HBM adoption grows while High-NA can replace multiple chipmaking steps with one.

$ASML Q3 EARNINGS
• Revenue $13.06B vs Est. $12.95B
• EPS $14.50 vs Est. $11.87
• Net Income $5.6B vs. Est. $4.5B
• Gross margins 58% vs. Est. 55%
FY26 Guidance
• Revenue $50B vs Est. $49B
• Gross margins 56% vs. Est. 54%
Supply plans for 2027 and 2028 still fall short of demand with the company now exploring additional 2028 capacity beyond the 30% increase already announced.

Chipmakers are expanding. Now comes the company supplying the machines.
$ASML reports Wednesday, with Wall Street expecting Q3 revenue of €11.62B (+55% YoY) and a 55.7% gross margin.
After raising its 2026 sales outlook to €43B–€45B, ASML is planning a 30% increase in Low-NA EUV production capacity for 2027. Memory-related system sales are also expected to grow more than 75% this year.
With $TSM reporting record Q3 sales and memory makers ramping up production, ASML's new orders, capacity plans and 2027 outlook will offer a closer look at how far this semiconductor investment cycle can run.

ASML's Q3 report is less about whether AI demand exists than whether that demand is converting into equipment revenue without eroding execution. Sales and gross margin versus its own outlook will matter, but new orders and EUV commentary may offer the cleaner read on how durable the next capacity cycle is.

Elon Musk says Terafab will start with conventional chipmaking equipment before developing custom tools for “much higher throughput on wafers.”
That puts $ASML and $AMAT in line to benefit from the ~$17B initial buildout as $SPCX and $TSLA work toward securing their own chip supply for robotics and orbital compute.

The Math: $ASML bookings are the tool-side test for $TSM's 2027 capacity cycle
$ASML reports October 14 with Q3 revenue guided to €11 billion-€12 billion and 55%-57% GM. The €11.5 billion midpoint is 24% above Q2, but orders carry the longer-duration signal.
$ASML plans to add 30% to 2027 low-NA EUV capacity from a 65-system 2026 base and 30% to DUV immersion capacity from 130 systems. The disclosed increases map to 19.5 additional low-NA EUV systems and 39 additional immersion systems.
TSMC reports October 15 with Q3 revenue guided to $44.6B-$45.8B and 65%-67% GM. The $45.2B midpoint is 12% above Q2 revenue.
TSMC revenue can keep accelerating while semi-cap multiples stall if $ASML order intake fails to validate the equipment required for 2027 capacity. The synchronized-cycle case needs both sides: foundry revenue and firm tool demand.
